Banff Mountain Film Festival Returns to Spokane’s Fox Theater
The January 8–10 tour stop will feature a different set of adventure films each night.
The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour will be at Spokane’s Fox Theater from January 8 through January 10, 2027. Spokane has been included for more than 30 years, turning the visit into a recurring winter event for climbers, skiers, paddlers, storytellers and other outdoor enthusiasts.
Each night offers a separate group of seven to nine films. The programs will draw from mountain expeditions, outdoor thrills, environmental subjects and personal stories about people connected to remote places. Organizers expect to complete the nightly lineups by mid-November, so attendees can choose among the three evenings once those details are available.
The Fox is located at 1001 West Sprague Avenue. A VIP package is scheduled for Saturday, January 9, with the VIP event at 5 p.m., doors opening at 6 p.m. and the screening beginning at 7 p.m.; tickets are $125. The theater’s box office can be reached at 509-624-1200.
Venue security will visually inspect bags, except clutches no larger than 6 1/2 by 4 1/2 inches. Larger bags are not permitted inside and must be left at the North Gallery coat check during the event. Ticket purchases are final and cannot be refunded.
