Toddler Storytime Set for Cheney Library
The program combines books, songs and hands-on learning for children ages 18-36 months.
Toddler Play & Learn Storytime begins at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, in Cheney’s Meeting Room. The program is designed for children ages 18-36 months. Its first 20 minutes feature picture books, songs and fingerplays, followed by 30 minutes exploring early math, science and literacy ideas.
Parents and caregivers participate with their toddlers through shared play. The activities introduce literacy, social development and STEAM skills—science, technology, engineering, art and math—that support preparation for kindergarten. Families can also continue exploring those ideas at home. Children may also receive their own library card.
Additional Tuesday sessions are scheduled for November 17 and 24; December 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29, all in 2026. Because library capacity is limited, parties numbering 10 or more should contact the library beforehand. Spokane County Library District works to welcome attendees of all abilities. For accommodations, including sign-language support or help with hearing access, email comments@scld.org or call 509.893.8200 no fewer than five business days before the event.
