Toddler Storytime Set for Spokane Valley Library
The program combines books, songs and early learning activities for children ages 18–36 months.

Each session begins with 20 minutes of picture books, songs and fingerplay. Children then have 30 minutes for hands-on activities centered on literacy, math and science. The program also develops social abilities and STEAM learning, covering science, technology, engineering, art and math.
Parents and caregivers join the play and spend time interacting with their children. The skills introduced are intended to support kindergarten readiness, and families can keep exploring the same ideas at home. Families may also get a library card for their child.
Additional sessions are scheduled for December 3, December 10, December 17 and December 31, 2026. Library space is limited, and groups with at least 10 people should call before attending. Spokane County Library District works to welcome people with different abilities. Accommodation requests, including hearing assistance, ASL or other ADA needs, must be submitted at least five business days beforehand by emailing comments@scld.org or calling 509.893.8200.
